Many corporations around the world are motivated to make not just their products greener, but their operations more sustainable. The Pennsylvania Energy Company (PECO), the state’s largest energy distributor, sought to begin this process in 2008. Through a Green Champions program, the company encouraged recycling, reduction in energy consumption, and water conservation. However, they did not have a way to show the initiative and creativity of employees across the company who led the venture.
This project featured the sustainability work of diverse Green Champions in multiple PECO facilities. Each of these individuals innovated new ways to make the company more sustainable. By bringing the story of each person alive and showing the influence they had on their co-workers, the video facilitated community-based behavioral changes across the company.
