ABOUT EVIDENCE BASED MEDIA

EBM was founded by Sabrina McCormick as an expansion of a personal and academic interest in drawing attention to environmental concerns worldwide. A traumatic childhood exposure to the illegal chemical Chlordane, inspired her to pursue a PhD at Brown University focused in environmental and medical sociology. She began making films while studying film at Brown and Rhode Island School of Design. Since then, she has served on the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, advised Congress, the White House, and the Department of State on climate change, and has published extensively in environmental areas. Her award-winning film work most recently includes credits as Producer and Associate Producer on television series, The Years of Living Dangerously, that won the Emmy for Best Nonfiction Series.

Since it’s inception as a documentary film company, EBM has expanded to produce fiction films based on real life events and people, as well as films rooted in environmental themes.
